Lipitor and sunburn.

I have been prescribed Lipitor for my cholesterol. Is there a possibility of  a photosensitivity to this drug?
I had a serious reaction years ago to Tetracycline and I am very hesitant to try any new drugs.
I use a sunscreen daily but I don't think this would eliminate the risk.I would appreciate any help on this subject.I realize that any drug can cause a possible bad reaction, however some are worse than others.
Thank you.

Thank you very much for your help.I have discussed this problem with my doctor and was told it cannot cause a problem from the sun, however I have been advised by some pharmacists that it can happen.
I appreciate your time.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Photosensitivity is not a known or reported side effect of the drug Lipitor. There are however other many side effects for which you should keep an eye and if they happen then consult your doctor.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
