Hi,
This red bump that you have noted on your face may be acne. Not all acne are actually visible on the surface of the skin as red with a yellowish center containing pus.
If the area you popped did not seem to heal,I suggest that you have this checked by a dermatologist. We do not want infections to complicate any area of the face. You may need to take oral antibiotics.
I suggest that you refrain from unnecessarily touching the area.To assure you, this does not fit the picture of skin cancer.
Hi and thanks for replying. as far as the boil type lesion that I popped i will try the product you mentioned. but for th epimple like lesion there was no puss.they were just tiny bumps that then came down in time and is now flat but is red tiny dots. This is why I am scared.
IT has not gone away and it has been a few weeks.
anyone knlow what this could be?
.....worried jay...
If there was pus inside the pimple, it is likely it was an acne lesion. Never pop or squeeze any skin lesion in any way. If it is an acne spot you will spread the bacteria under the skin leading to more spots. You can also cause secondary infection making diagnosis harder.
To speed healing and avoid scarring there are several good products I will recommend. Bio-oil is made of Vitamin A and fades new and old scars and discolorations of the skin. Clinique make two excellent products. Their Post-blemish formula helps your skin heal more quickly and discourages new blemishes from forming in the same place. They have also more recently launched a skin tone corrector which improves skin tone, including the darkening left behind after a blemish. Loiloi xx
