Hello everyone, I also would like to say I'm so happy to know I'm not the only one with this. Seems like a lot of people have had this for a while. here is my brief bump story: The other day at work i almost felt like an really bad itch/prick. i felt my neck and I realized I had a bump.
I asked a co-worker and she said it kind of looked like a pimple or something. This happened about 4 days ago and the bump is still present. It hit me a few days ago that this used to happen all the time. the thing is like everyone else is saying it's in the same spot!
I looked at the picture provided by suicidalbread (love the name) it's similar but not exact. But I think they are on to something. Perhaps it's a different form of hive? Can they show up in the same spot though? Also my alien as I now call it does not crust or peal over. It does not itch all the time either.
Thank you for reading. :)
Hello!
I've had this for a few days. My bite appears and disappears in the same spot. It looks like this > http://www.dermatopedia.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/urti2-300x293.jpg . It's hives guys.
I've had mine for more than 10 years now, however they disappeared for a while, but they have came back, I get them on my forehead, sides of the face and one in the neck, sometimes in my scalp. I start feeling the itching, then they get red and swollen, the one in the forehead sometimes gets so swollen than seems like someone hit me, it is embarrassing and the itchiness bothers me to no end. I've been told by an allergologist that I have angioedema, and taking some medicines causes me to have swollen eyes, but I'm not entirely sure what foods can give me that reaction too.
For several yrs, i too have been experiencing a reoccurring itchy bleb on my abdomen in the exact same place. I am glad to see that im not the only one but baffled because no definite diagnosis has been made.
I have this same problem.
The first time I got it I really didn't know what to use on it so tried so many different creams that I think I may have aggravated it. It lasted almost 6 months in total as it kept flaring up. The area is inflamed and it feels itchy and tickly/tingly; It even blistered at its worst.
I have no idea what it is, have been to the doctors and even they don't know. The only thing that helps is Daktacort 2%/1% w/w cream (miconazole nitrate and hydrocortisone) I apply it throughout the day on and around the area. It cleared it up last time but you must continue to use it for a long time after it's gone. It stayed away over 6 months and appeared again out of no where. I applied the cream and it is already dramatically better.
First of all, thank you to all of you for sharing your stories, tips and thoughts. i too have a recurring hive on my forehead and I get an itchy abdomen every couple of days and little whiteheads on my chest. I also have MTHFR, compound hetero.
I have been looking into following a low-histamine diet. Have any of you had success with that?
I believe that certain foods and stress is continuously 'topping up' my histamine 'bucket' and its only when it overflows that the hives and other symptoms present themselves and so that is why i cant pinpoint certain foods or products as the culprit. Very frustrating! I'm also looking into Diamine oxidase (DAO) as it is the main enzyme for the metabolism of ingested histamine. There is a product on iHerb called Histame? I've ordered it out of desperation and am going to give it a try. Has any one else tried it?
