small red spots on head of penis

I have noticed over the past few days that I have a cluster of small red spots on the head of my penis.
They are not itchy just look worrying.
I am a relationship with which we are both commited to one another (she being 8months pregnant, and me being a good guy).
Cant understand what this may be stressing.....

Hey I have the same issue.  I am 18 and I have had them for approximately 3 years.  I had gotten them checked by my family doctor almost immediately after they appeared.  She said that they were harmless, and since then I have a sexual partner (only 1) and she had no complications with my spots.  The only problem they seem to pose for me is that I don't want my partner to think I am infected with an STD, but other than that I tend not to worry about.  I learned from this site that it is actually quite common.  I originally thought I was just an unlucky, rare case.

Well good luck

Hi,

This could be - pearly penile papules or fordyce spots. You would need to consult your doctor for a confirmed diagnosis.

'Pearly penile papules are multiple, small (about 1-3mm) papules running around the circumference of the crown of the glans penis. They typically develop in men aged 20 to 40, and around 10 per cent of all men are affected. They may be mistaken for warts, are not infectious and require no treatment.'

'Fordyce spots are small (1-5mm) bright red or purple papules that can appear on the glans, shaft or scrotum and usually affect younger men. They may occur as a solitary lesion, but frequently appear in crops of 50 to 100. They are painless and not itchy, but may cause embarrassment because of their appearance, or a fear that they might be sexually transmitted. '

Post us about what your doctor advises.

Regards.
