Inflamed bump on outside of lip.

About 4yrs ago, I popped a pimple on the outside of my upper lip. The scar went away but I noticed a little inflamed bump remained. I noticed the lump is inflamed mostly in the mornings and then goes down significantly. It’s not a huge bump but it’s noticeable to me. Its been 4 years! The bump is flesh colored and doesn’t hurt or feel tender. I went to a dermatologist and he was very dismissive about it because that day the bump wasn’t as prominent as others. I showed the doc a picture I had taken and he said it would probably cause a more noticeable scar if surgically removed but he didn’t say what it was. Its so embarrassing to me. Can someone help please???

I would guess that the bump is probably a type of scar left from the blemish- you can always head to another doctor for a second opinion on the removal of it and for confirmation of what it is.
