wart(eeew) question PLEASE HELP
ok... so ive had this annoying wart on my hand for months now and it has been driving me craaaazy! i've tried tea tree oil and various medicated patches try to get rid of this wart. nothing has worked. so i tried the dr scholls freeze away stuff. it did nothing for awhile, but then it started to peel on one of the edges, so i picked at it. i picked at about half of it and noticed these root-like things that kept me from ripping off the wart. so i picked off what i could, and used tweezers to pull out one of the "roots." it was hard, small, and roundish. it bled a few drops so i got freaked out and didnt pull at it anymore. but now theres a small open hole where the "root" was and i know if i pull the other roots out, it will be completley open to infection, and i want to remove this wart as safely as possible! i dont know what to do with the rest now! i'm scared to treat it with more freeze away or other treatments because of the open part, and i dont want an infection! i have the wart (well, whats left of it) under a cotton ball and a band-aid for now. i dont know what to put on it, or if i should put anything on it at all. i just want this stupid ward to be gone FOR GOOD! and i dont want infections or anything....what do i do?!?!? please help!

For small warts, several medications(like podophyllum resin, Podofilox (Condylox), Trichloroacetic and bichloroacetic acids, Imiquimod 5% cream and interferons) are available, which can be applied directly to the surface of the warts. Other treatment options include electrical cautery, surgical removal, Carbon dioxide laser treatment and electrodesiccation.
In my opinion you should talk to a cosmetologist/dermatologist about this and get this wars evaluated. Please do not remove it on your own but consult a dermatologist and get the topical agents prescribed.

I'll never forget it- I was at work and my chin itched. I felt a bump and looked in the mirror thinking it was acne I kept picking at it-the next day I had 5 more attached to the one I had been touching (in a straight line all connected to one another). I knew it was not acne but it took several months before I was able to see a dermatologist so I put it off. Over two years I went from having about 5-80. I could not take it anymore and saw a dermatologist who did not seem very knowledgeable of flat warts on the face and told me there was nothing he could do except give me topical treatments and said they should disappear on their own. The third year I had hundreds of flat warts on my face only. I had them on my forehead, my nose, cheeks, chin and eyelids. And then one night my flat warts started itching so bad and there was no relief and I woke up with hundreds more. I went to my doctor again and he said he has never seen so many on a person's face in his entire career and suggested I go see another doctor and go to a University as a case study (unreal). I found another doctor I heard about from a friend who did a laser removal treatment of flat warts and made an apt (I had to wait 6 months to be seen)- I wanted to go to an insane asylum because I could not handle the pain, inconvenience, and the alarming growth rate literally over night. My mother took me to Feel-Rite (an organic and natural health and vitamin store). A woman suggested that I take immune boosting vitamins, drink plenty of water with a lot of lemons in it (make it at home and put in the fridge (a natural lemonade with no sugar) and these little sugar coated things that came in a small cylinder that is a cure for Warts- it says on the bottle.
