I was told to eat a high protein snack right before bed. Cinnamon oil has also helped with my fasting number.
I was put on insulin at night to help fasting number.
Mine told me that if my fasting was high I would need to take a long acting insulin at night time to help with that. So I would talk to your doc or endocrinologist whoever is in charge of your GD.
Did you tell your OB? From what I was told, they will prescribe you a pill to take in the evening to help with that.
