Hi Charles, Here is some information on drinking and diabetes. If you know where mead falls in terms of alcohol content, this information should help you figure out what's safe, but the best guideline to remember is that men with diabetes should have no more than 2 drinks a day (that's considered moderate drinking) and you should always check your BG after drinking for about a day, to make sure you don't have a low blood glucose event.
