I'm a diabetic person controlled with some medication, and doing just great.

1- Is Honey good for my health?
2- If I consume some mead in moderations, "will this affect my health in a negative way?

I would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks,
Carlos

Hi Charles, Here is some information on drinking and diabetes. If you know where mead falls in terms of alcohol content, this information should help you figure out what's safe, but the best guideline to remember is that men with diabetes should have no more than 2 drinks a day (that's considered moderate drinking) and you should always check your BG after drinking for about a day, to make sure you don't have a low blood glucose event. Enjoy!

Honey is a very dense carbohydrate.  Carbohydrates raise Blood sugar (BG)  so small amounts of honey used rarely... maybe,  I have only use honey to treat a low BG event (Hypo or Hypoglycemic event)
