1.) " ...I used to take 80mg. Zocor but she told me to stop..."
2.) "should I continue to take the Zocor"
Is there something in statement #1 you do not understand?
When I went to my diabetes appointment last week or a couple of weeks ago I was told that my bad cholestrol was perfect and my good cholestrol was low so the doctor suggested for me to take Fish Oil Omega 3 I used to take 80mg. Zocor but she told me to stop that I just got a letter in the mail that my LDL was high it should be below 100 mine is 125 should I continue to take the Zocor
Yikes! High dose zocor can cause diabetes. Type zocor in Google news for the latest.
Without the proper use of a period [.] it was very difficult to read and understand your post. I'm guessing your question is whether low HDL causes t2 diabetes? The answer is no it's the other way around, uncontrolled diabetes will cause low HDL levels, among other things.
You need to speak with your doctor for clarification. Zocor and Crestor are both used to reduce LDL cholesterol and triglycercides not raise HDL levels. Also ask your doctor for an A1c [hemoglobin A1c] test to see how well you are controlling your glucose levels and whether your lifestyle has made you a candidate for diabetes.
