109 home blood sugar test
My 15 year old son just tested 109 on a home blood sugar test. He had not eaten for 3 hours.
Hello, 109 is good 3 hours after eating. Were you worried for some reason?
If so you might want to check when he first wakes in am, then 2 hours after eating

that is only slightly high. What had he eaten the 3 hours earlier?
Is he normal or overweight.
If you are concerned, you could test his fasting levels in the morning, which should be ideally in the 80s to be completely normal.
His pediatrician can do a test called HBA1C to see if his sugars are normal.
Good that you are concerned to watch this.
Recommend minimising processed and sweet foods, eating plenty of veges and protein, and making sure he is getting plenty of physical activity.
