Hi! I think it's wonderful that you are trying to do this for your daughter. There are a couple key pieces of information you didn't include which would be useful. The country you live in can make a difference, as different countries have different programs for medical devices like this. Second is whether or not you have health insurance, since insurance can pay for a lot of the costs involved with a pump. We have Cigna but she doesn't qualify, because she has control on shots. The thing the insurance hasn't seen is that shots are very hard to handle, an a pump would make life so much better for her.
You need to call Cigna and ask for a supervisor and find out what pump they pay for. Your need to get your doctor involved and he needs to contact Cigna and let them know that it is a medical necessity. I know several people that have gotten Cigna to pay for the pumps and supplies, but it takes persistence on your part and the endocrinologist
