Hot flashes

Hello.
I have CF-related diabeted (cystic fibrosis related). I want to know if this causes hot flashes with normal glucose levels at the time? Or with high glucose levels? I get hot flashed quite frequently and my temp rises. Sometimes up to 99.1, other times lower. I am a male so menopause is out.

I am on Humalog and Lantus for insulin.

Any help would be great. Thank you.

Hello,

one can feel hot with either high or low blood sugars - depends on how your body responds.     I certainly feel hot when my sugars are high (and high is not terribly high 140+....)

However, if you are also feeling this when your blood sugars are normal (80 - 100 or so), then maybe it has another unrelated cause that should be looked into - possibly by an endocrinologist / immunologist?
