When was the 103 mg/L measured? after eating? after fasting? sorry not enough info to comment.
Being sick can result in temporarily high blood sugar levels.
It was after fasting and around a week after the fever stopped, but the spleen and the liver were still enlarged (ordinary symptoms of mono presumable). I will redo the tests in the coming week and let you know what the tendency is => does the glucose level went down or up. What should I do in the meantime? How should I change my diet?
hi,
the 103 is only slightly high for fasting level.
eat diet low in processed foods, breads, sugars. Eat vegetables, whole grains, meats, nuts, healthy fats.
Exercise 30 -60 minutes each day at least moderate level.
maintain ideal weight.
this is best way to minimise risk o diabetes / manage it if you have it.
Thank you for that information. I will keep the diet you mentioned and exercise. However I am not a diagnosed diabetic. Should I make some tests and if so what tests should I make?
