Well, like I said, I had all the heart tests done, EKG, chest x-ray, and Echo cardiogram and my heart is good. So I know it is not a heart problem, but it is hard to get the source of what causes the palpitations.
I wore a heart monitor for 24hrs and all they said was everything looked fine, my heart never went above 125 or so (yeah like that is normal) but otherwise it is good.
So I took a food allergy test to see if that was the cause.... and it is not.
I went to my naturalpathic DR today and he took a blood test to test my blood sugar levels, don't know what it is called..... but I fasted, he drew blood, then I had to drink this really sugary drink and he took blood every half hour for the next 2 hours... I guess to see how my body handles and processes the sugar. Hopefully that will give me some answers.
Thank you for all your input too.... heart palps are pretty scary.
P.S.
I don't get tac (fast beats)
You can buy a blood sugar tester for 18.00 at store....check it and see if it is under 70...then you will know!
In addition, some people get palpitations from sugar too. It sounds to me like thats your problem. Its very tricky to get a doctor to find this.....I finally over heard the doctors talking about my irregular heart beats when I was cominbg out of anestesia a few years ago. Asked them to send the EKG strip to my doc and thats how I finally convinced her I had pvc's. A betablocker will do wonders...finding the right one takes a bit sometimes. I am on Inderal after trying a couple others that didnt work. I must say its great not to be out of breath and dizzy from the palpitations now. I wish you luck. You need a halter monitor to record symptoms when your heart is flip flopping. Most people who have these don't feel them and don't even know they are having them. But others like me almost pass out from them...especially one on top of the other. Get ot checked.
No I don't have any caffeine whatsoever... except for the occasional piece of chocolate. I have had my heart checked out and I am OK....
The main problem now is this terrible fatigue.... seems to be on a daily basis now, and that and the palpitations seems to get worse or 'act up' after eating.... so I am looking into blood sugar issues too.
I really just need to find the answer.... what is wrong?
Thanks for your input.
Do you have a fluttery feeling in chest? Do you drink any caffinated beverages? You sound like maybe you are having some arrythmias or palpitations, and some people get symptoms like yours. Check your pulse when you feel this way and see if it is regular or if it is seeming to skip beats. This is harmless if you have a healthy heart, but the symptoms can be a real pain, I know because I use to have them until I found out what was causing it, and got on meds to help it.
