exercise on machine

I want to ask about my  , mom, she is 63 and has diabetes from 2 years ,is this nessecery for her to burn 200 calories daily on walking machine , because she hasent enough energy to do so, but doctor said with her pills she have to do this, plz help...............

thankyou for kind information I will check it ,and will ask her to do walk simply on road after every meal I think I will be easy for her, thankyou again

Hello, brisk walking of any kind for extended period of time will burn the calories.

If she can walk for a minimum of 30 minutes after each meal (or at least morning and night for as long as she can manage) this would be helpful.

Maybe the resistance or the gradient on the treadmill is set too high and this is why she is finding it so hard to use.

please check the treadmill. Maybe there is something wrong with the setup, or even with the treadmill.

because she get tiered on machine and after macine exercise she cant do any simple work because of tieredness, doctor said machine is very good and without you cant burn 200 calories

Does she have a balance problem?
to me walking is walking although the machine might be faster. .

Or the machine is easier to gauge her workout

Ask the MD why she cant walk on the street

but the problem is that she feel tiered  on walking machine, cant she walk regularly for 2 hours , simple walk on the road?
