Have you tried tracking your foods and exercise? Lowering your intake of carbs and sugars is important, so you might start with tracking what you are eating. Sometimes certain foods that are within a lower carb limit, can still trigger a high blood sugar reading. It can help to track what foods you are eating and what your blood sugar is as a result- then you can know what foods you need to avoid. Also, make sure you are drinking plenty of water too.
Hi Dgrann,
Type 2 diabetes is one of the many diseases that is curable. A lot of lifestyle factors can contribute to Type 2 diabetes.
If you want to reverse your diabetes, you need to take a lifestyle change. Change your diet. Most people that I've known who have reversed their type 2 diabetes are still FREE from the disease. They just change their diet as well as their lifestyle. Also doing some cardio and weights lifting helps a lot.
Cheers!
Carbohydrates raise BG (blood Glucose).
exercise lowers BG
drugs lower BG
Maybe if you told us what drugs you take it would help.
