Low blood sugar ?

My blood sugar is 78, feeling cold and jittery and wondering if that is too high of a number to be causing it. Since last Thursday I have been unable to eat much, and what I do eat has been immediately removed (diarrhea). I was diabetic in my last pregnancy and still needing to lose weight so I have been checking my sugars just to see if maybe that is why I feeling so low right now. Thanks for the help.

I have type-2 for over 30 years -- weight is my issue along with many operations.  One thing does stay constant - when I get jittery, sweats and feel like I am about to faint my readings are closer to 35.  At 78 I feel fine.  Perhaps your endocrinologist will have a better explanation for you.  I know that if you run high and drop down fast perhaps that is the cause for your feelings.  Are you skipping meals or if on insulin are you taking a fast acting one and using too much

Most people do not consider blood sugar to be low and in need of treatment unless it is under 70 or even under 60. However, if your blood sugar has been high for awhile than numbers that are not technically hypos can feel like they are. If you have diarrhea since last Thursday and not able to eat (regardless of your need to lose weight) you should check with your doctor as you can become dehydrated.
