Weight Loss with Metformin

I have been weighing 96 KG at a height of  8'10" since almost 20 years.I had TIA stroke in December 2010. My diabetese medicine was changed from Pioglar + Metformin 500 twice a day to Janumet 50+1000 twice a day in around March 2011. I have since lost about 15 KG and it is still going down @ 1 kg per month. I was happy to reach my ideal weight. However, I do not know how to stop further loss. I am Diabetic, so can not discontinue Metformin. Any suggestion ?

"Yes, I am on balanced meal plan as per doctor's advice."

If not by choice you are continuing to lose weight something in your meal plan is not well balanced. Since you didn't tell us what this plan consist of, I suggest you go back to your doctor and discuss making necessary adjustments to the plan to halt the weight loss. Also consider opening YOUR OWN new post on the Weight Loss forums. Good luck

Sorry, a mistake. It is 6'10". My Fasting Sugar is between 110 & 125 and PP is between 135 & 160 . A1C value is 6.8. Yes, I am on balanced meal plan as per doctor's advice.

"height of  8'10""??? Huh? What are you test results showing you - preprandial, postprandial, and A1c? Have you discussed with your doctor about adjusting your medication? Have you spoken with a diabetes nutritionist/dietitian on balanced meal plans?
