I am a type 2 diabetic. I have exactly the same problem with pain in both hands, but mainly my right hand..  The pain is centred in the Distal Palmar Line below my ring finger,  The backs of my hands also feel like they're sunburned.  I have had this problem for about six weeks now.  I am now controlling my blood suger levels more strictly to see if this improves the problem.

i dont if it is a symptom of diabetes but you should go to the hospital just to get checked out. you could have a nerve that has been damaged, an infection or the muscle cold have been torn or bruised. try taking some anadin to make you feel better. good luck.

Sorry about your pain. Ive personally not ever heard of this in relation to diabetes. Do you have other signs of diabetes? You can search diabetes and get a list of general symptoms associated with diabetes. Most people Ive know with diabetes have pretty clear signs of their sugar being high or low but not heard of palm pain. I have diabetic neuropathy in my hands and it is mostly numbness tigling and some pain but in my lil fingers. Id give your doc a call and get appointment to do sugar test for diabetes if your worried. Hope you feel better soon. Daisy
