I think Arsenic would be a long shot as I am still alive and breathing without too great of distress, no vomiting, diarrhea, okay blood pressure, and no new cardiac problems, also I consume most of what my son and wife do, and they have no symtpoms.
Back to the Lyme, its is possible but not plausible, we don't have ticks in Alaska, but rare cases have been noted and Dx here under 100 in the last 20-30 years. But I have traveled and Lived in Florida, Georgia, Nevada, Oklahoma, Utah, and Oregon. "Visited New Jersey"
I will ask my Doc to run a Heavy Metals Panel this week just to rule out that for exclusion.
Lyme disease can be a bugger to detect. I don't know the exact details but a healthy buddy of mine contracted it and the testing they were doing didn't show it.
As far as poisonings, I don't know if I should feed the fire. Im no medical professional. Heavy metals maybe... arsenic?
I think you have to specifically be screened for those things though.
Just saw the Doc today and they drew much blood from me, so I am awaiting test results, I showed him the foot picture and all that came to mind was an indirect nerve pathway or neuropathy. Btw what kind of Poisonings were you thinking of? Also ive ruled out Lyme Disease on 2 different tests this year and last.
Thanks
Nico, if you were to ask me "is this common in diabetes" I'd say no. I've been a Type 2 diabetic for 16 years and I've never experienced the things you're experiencing.
Again, I'm no doctor so there is no way for me to diagnose what you're going through, but I do know that self diagnosis is a good way to add un-needed stress into your life.
Please see another doctor and get a proper diagnosis. That way the problem can be addressed. Not to stress you out, but some of your symptoms resemble those of certain poisonings, Lyme disease and other things. Please, Please get a proper diagnosis from a qualified health care professional.
So out of nowhere tonight for the first time me feet got super red and hot just on the insides by the big toe and it got as dark as crimson, my GF told me to prop my feet and I iced them and then it went away but my calves feel kinda numb/tingly now but the hotness and redness went away look on my page profile and you can see a pic of what they were doing.... is this common in Diabetes.... im more scared I might have Diabetes Insipidus.
Hi Nico_Ak,
I'm so sorry that you are having to deal with all of this. Honestly, what I suggest you do is consult with a physician. If the ones that are seeing you don't see this as a potential problem, its time to find one that does. A health care professional easily trumps any of the information you will receive from average joes around here.
I was diagnosed as Type 2 diabetic some years ago and one of the symptoms I had was always being thirsty. Please speak with a health care professional.
Is your environment hot and dry? My initial impression is that you're perspiring excessively. You've notable anxiety so: Are you respiring heavily a lot? We can lose a lot of moisture through heavy breathing when it's excessive. btw, I find slow, even breathing greatly helps keep my own anxiety under control.
Else, I think your first step is to find the cause of your fluid consumption. Have you been diagnosed for diabetes and are you medicated for it? Untreated diabetes leads to the classic excessive liquid consumption as a symptom.
CAUTION: Too much water drinking can be fatal (through flushing out the body's essential electrolytes, needed for heart function). Two to four quarts is probably safe enough for anyone imo. But eight quarts is sounding too high, without at least some regular electrolyte replenishment.
