Still struggling

Hello, I was wondering if anyone might know if there is any illness that can cause a rapid drop in blood sugars.  I have gone from 20 units of novolog before meals to 6 units of novolog before meals in 3 weeks.  What can cause this?  Still eating same as always.  Thank you for your time!!

Thank you for answering.  Not pregnant.  My Dr. has been testing numberous things, they know something is not right but can't quite put a finger on it.  I first posted on here because I am from a small place and Dr.s here usually don't think outside the box.  Thank you for the thyroid suggestion, he is testing that also.  My Diabetic Dr. is now reducing my insulin and thinks I shouuld be off it soon. :)  Thank you again for replying!!

Is there any possibility you could be pregnant?  It is quite unusual to have insulin requirements change so quickly.  Though a drop in insulin requirement can happen in early pregnancy.

Another thought is that if your thyroid function is fluctuating (for the better), there could also be corresponding fluctuations in your blood sugar control, with less insulin requirement as a result?

That hurts!!  I am not a hypochondriac.  Never have been.  Just sick of being sick.  My nutrition is good.  And yes this is from the addison's post also. One of the Dr. on here told me that my tests results and symptoms could be addison's.  I have been working really hard on trying to resolve this.  My diabetic dr. said this decrease so rapidly is NOT normal.  I asked this question to see if anyone else might have gone through something like this. (Thought that's what the forums were for.)  Waiting on blood test results that my db dr. ordered to possibly find the cause.  For some reason my body started working differently!  Sorry for wasting your time WaveRider!!!

" I have gone from 20 units of novolog before meals to 6 units of novolog before meals in 3 weeks."
You failed to tell us your reason/s why you lowered your dose. Is it from your Addison's post "My diabetic dr. told me she wants me to start decreasing my insulin intake."

"Still eating same as always."
Not changing lifestyle habits - poor nutrition - only compounds matters. Why haven't you made changes?

Please don't take this the wrong way but you're starting to sound like a hypochondriac, always looking for an illness instead of resolving what you have in hand.
