T2D, IBD/IBS and Ozempic (semaglutide)/ Wegovy: lack of benefits

My doctor was really surprised that the highest dose of Ozempic, didn't help at all  with my blood sugar or weight loss after 8 months.  Unlike many, I  never experienced any side effects aside from constipation.

For context, I have both type 2 diabetes and inflammatory bowel disease, including leaky gut.

I did some digging and found a few small studies suggesting GLP-1 receptor dysfunction might be why it's not working for me. This needs more research though.

I am posting this should others experience the lack of benefit from these diabetic and weight loss medications.

As for me, I don't know how to proceed, This is incredibly discouraging. I was hoping Ozempic would be a good fit. Now I am also worried about my gut since I can't tolerate raw fibre and more.
