Hi jmwhites, we're also sorry to hear this is happening to you. One answer might be because diabetes is a progressive disease, and you may need different strategies to manage it as well as you did in the past. Seeing an endocrinologist and learning about medications are great suggestions from our Community Leaders. Check out this item from the Sugar Sense app and MedHelp.org for more, and good luck to you getting your A1C back down! We are rooting for you.

Hey jmwhites. Sorry to hear about your A1c being so out of wack. I've got a bad habit of not testing when I have things "in control' and it always leads to things being out of control. I hate it.
I'd suggest you have a good sit down chat with your doctor and if you are not seeing an endocrinologist, perhaps its time for your doctor to send you to one. Those folks are at the top of the field when it comes to diabetes!
Obviously, watching your diet should be on the top of the list. I know how easy it can be to stray but honestly, its one of the best things we can do for ourselves. Drink buckets of water and get more exercise.
There are quite a few eating styles that are very popular these days. Discuss them with your doc or endo and choose one that works for you.
Any work you put in now to change will benefit you on the other end. Knocking off any unnecessary carbs and processed stuff is a great start.
Hi, you could see your dr and get prescribed insulin. This is the best and quickest way to bring down blood sugars.
Do see your dr and see what medications are appropriate.
Exercise, low carb eating (paleo / primal / keto are some possible eating styles / approaches) can all help. Plenty of water.
You;ve done it before, you can do it again. Diabetes is the unwelcome friend we'd love to ignore, but can't.
please let us know how you go.
