Just been taken off Gabapentin because it is also a mood stabiliser and I am already taking another stabiliser for my Bipolar. Doctor has given me Axsain cream for my foot pain, will let you know the results in a few days 'cos it takes a while to take effect.

Hi,
It varies from person to person. Common medications for neuropathy include Gabapentin(as others mentioned--but know that the correct dose for you may be quite different than for someone else), Elavil(Amitryptiline) and Lyrica. There are others also used but these are the most common currently.

Take care.

I am also recently on Gabpentin for Neuropathy, however, it doesn't relief much either, it does make me sleepy though, so I take it at night only.

I have been prescribed Gabapentin for Neuropathy, taking 1500mg at the moment but not much relief, going to up the dose if the Dr agrees.
