Symptoms

Hello there.  I am very confused about some symptoms I'm having.  I'm currently being tested for several different things, including diabetes.  I have an abnormal heart beat, I am fatigued ALL day long, my hands shake when I move them up and down; plus they feel weaker then usual.  I have leg pains which are similiar to growing pains (I can't still be growing though) , mostly during my menstrual cycle, or after I drink alcohol.  Also several strands fall out of my hair at a time whenever I run my fingers through my hair.  My legs sometimes feel really heavy when I walk, making it harder to climb stairs.  What would your professional opinion be?

Sincerely,
Jess

Hi,
I agree that the first thing should be a thyroid check for either an over- or under-active thyroid. Diabetes, nutritional deficiencies(example vitamin D, vitamin B) and anemias can also be at the root.  I am afraid that your symptoms can overlap in many different conditions so I cannot tell you with certainty what your diagnosis is based on your description.
Definitely ensure you have a thorough physical exam and continue following up with your doctor about this soon so that the cause can be found and treated.
Take care and get rest when you can.

Hi Jess,
I am not a doctor or not even a nurse, but it sounds to a degree that you are describing a thyroid problem. fatigues, the heart. have you had that checked?
Good luck I hope you can get answers soon
