Green stool

My wife has shown "spinach" colored normally formed stools for the past two days. Prior to this she has had some discomfort below the right breast which radiates to the back. She has not had any change in diet. Any one have any ideas?

I agree about the language.  I have a hunch that the person who posted that message has been through it, though it can be expressed with even more punch and validity when stated in terms of thoughtful vocabulary.

Hospitals have one bottom line though....MONEY!  I have taken my own family members out of the hospital when termainally ill.  I watched them milk a great insurance policy for all it was worth....to the detriment of my loved one. They ordered anything and everything the insurance would cover, even though it caused great physical pain to someone that was TERMINAL!  It quite frankly made me sick to my stomach.

Don't let the "law" fool you.  If you enter a hospital without money or insurance, you will be treated like a ... it's hard to say the words...like a piece of someone's old gum that stuck to the bottom of your shoe!  If you come in as a victum of a gunshot, auto accident, etc...YES THEY WILL SEE YOU.  After that the collection agencies will hound you till you wish you had died from whatever brought you there in the first place!

That's not to criticize the ones who work there.  They are only doing their jobs...bottom line again...IT IS A BUSINESS!  MONEY TALKS and so does the lack of it...

I am sorry that I said something to upset you.  But, I was speaking from experience.  And if you push the issue, and you do have a medical situation that needs attention you can get help.  Again I am sorry that I affended you.  My words were said only to help, not hurt.

It would be greatly appreciated if the "F" word would not be used on this forum.  It is offensive and, yes, it is offensive to me also.

Thanks,

Romy

................Get a gripp, Hospitals may not "refuse" you as a patient, but they will refuse to care for you and advise you to go to another hospital on the pressumption that they are "up to capacity".......Bottom life is that, these places ( hospitals ) are in the money making business, and not necessarly in the business of providing human necessesities for ppl who may have  a serious condition. **** the hospitals and HMOs

Hospitals can not refuse to help someone because they have no money.  It is the law.  You need to get some medical attention.  It's better to have a bill you can't afford then to wait until things get worse and there is no cure, don't you think.  Get some help, go to social services for emergency help, there are programs out their to help people in your situation.

i too had green stools off and on over the last few years, i cant say as it ever caused me a problem but now im not so sure.

about 5 months ago i woke up from a good nights sleep to the feeling as if my guts were going to explode. after an hour sitting on the can i managed a bowel movment and relived the pressure. ever since that day, the first time i eat (doesnt matter what time of the day it is) 1 hour later the pressure has built to explosive diarea. after that im fine the rest of the day.

about 3 weeks ago it got worse, now every 3-4 days as i get up to goto bed the pressure builds to the feeling of my guts wanting to explode again. painfull pressure under my lower ribs, back arching and unable to stay still for anylonger then 2 seconds. but after some meditation and forced sleep, its gone when i wake up in the morning followed by some long farts.

ive been unable to get medical insurance, im un employed now and i cant afford a doctor. last night was the worst so far and its only seems to be getting worse each time. im scared.
