Hello...
A little embarrassed, but here it goes. 2 days ago I was washing myself near my anus and my finger came across a small bump. I went to my primary care whom identified the small mass as a " classic hemorrhoid ". I do not agree. The lump is painless , doesn't itch, and is skin colored. I recently had a skin cancer scare ( pathology report came back clean, thank god ) but am hyper sensitive now.
This is something I may have had for a long time, I really have to feel for it and if I bend certain ways it disappears. I have no blood in stool, I had bright red spotting last night and took a second picture.
I have looked at various sites trying to identify the mass and the best I could come up with is a chronic anal fissure, or skin tag. I have had a hemorrhoid, but it has been many years.
Any help would be appreciated. The picture shows the mass being held over a bit to one side, the tear in it is new and may be due to a over zealous exam by my primary care, she was not gentle.
