Night Sweats relating to Gallbladder surgery

Hi there. My name is Stacy and I am a 23 year old female.  I just had my gallbladder removed last monday (exactly one week ago).  i am average height and weight for my age.  My question is over that last 4 days I have begun to experience severe night sweats.  I wake up and my clothes and bedsheets are soaks through.  My husband is not having this problem, and even turned the temp down in the water bed for me.  Could this be related to having my gallbladder removed (i am still stapled).  If so, how do i stop it and why is this happening.  It wakes me up shivering and i end up getting a shower and not begining able to fall back to sleep.  Any info would be a plus.
Thanks in advance
Stacy

Please be sure to tell your Doc, because it could be lots of things.

BUT, I also had terrible nightsweats for the first several weeks after my GB surgery. They checked for infection and I didnt have any. So my surgeon just shrugged and eventually they went away.

Hello Stacy....

I just had my gallbladder removed last Monday the 20th. As far as your complaint I am not experiencing that but nighsweats can be caused from different problems. Here are some ideas: Thyroid condition, Hodgkins disease (I had that years ago), Hormone changes, etc. Since you just had your GB removed it is probable that it relates to that. How about checking for a fever. Are your stitches hot and very tender?
Im thinking infection but just guessing. My chief complaint Stacy is that I am nauseaous now with an achy stomach. Are you feeling any of that? Well hopefully someone else can comment. You might type in "nightsweats" under www.google.com and see what comes up.
Good luck to us!
