gallbladder

my question is this, in january i had gallbladder surgery, when I came to it felt like my stomache wanted to burst, beneath my sturnam, at first iI thought it was due to the surgery but it stayed this way for the first 2 months. If i ate i just felt stuffed. The doctor said he had to splice my bile duct to get a stone out so I thought possibly this was it. With this I still feel constiated and get nauseated, When it is real bad my heart feels like it is thuding in there. I also feel deep seated pain up under my right rib cage. It feels as though somebody is squeesing and slowly releases. My pain by my sturnam has eased up, It onlyis there periodically nowinstead of constant. If you have any good ideas please help?

                               Thanks Panda

I just went through having my gallbladder removed. I know what you mean about the presure your talking about. The first time I had the attack, they didnt find anything. The second time they told me my gallbladder was full of small stones that they were getting caught in the common duct. So they removed it. I havent had a repeat of the presure build up. But I was told that if it returned to notify my doctor, because it could mean they missed a stone. Now the only problem I'm having is with my bowel movements. Ever since the surgery I have had problem. They say it is my system getting used to the added bile in my system. Well what ever it is I'm ready for it to stop. Hope this helped.

I just had a Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy (gall bladder removed)
on Monday.  Feeling great recovery was going great until Friday,
I felt like I had another gall bladder attack.  Does this mean that I probably have a stone in the common bile duct?  Is it necessary to have an ERCP? Just looking for advice.  Please email me with any help.  ***@****

Thanks!

get a new doctor.  I understand your pain and I'm sure your doctor feels its all in your mind but I have had similar problems.  Have you had a GI series?  How about a colonoscopy?  Endoscopy?  I have had all these and they showed me nothing.  Instead I was told my problem was hormonal.  Since when do hormones cause excessive weight loss and severe pain after eating.  Did I mention that I too was at the hands of asurion only a month ago?  If you get any good ideas please let me in on them.  They also talked of removing my gallbladder and brought up mysterous catch alls like irritable bowl syndrom.  I go by heidi.
