how long for stomach virus

I started a stomach virus on March 5 - it began with nauseau and stomach cramps, diarrhea - as the days went on I became very bloated, have constant gas and have spent alternate days on the bowl with diarrhea every 5-10 minutes for hours at a time.
How long do these stomach virus' usually last, or is this unusual?  Is there anything I can do to relieve the symptoms - I look like I'm 6 months pregnant with the bloating!

Thanks!

If these symptoms continue beyond a week, I would think you need to consider that this isn't a stomach virus, but something more serious.  It sounds like you need to get in to see a doctor to find out what is causing these symptoms.  God luck.

Yes, go to doctor. That's a long time to have a virus, and if your stomache is that bloated maybe you have an obstruction. An obstruction would cause diahrea like you describe, and also the bowel distention. If that is your problem, it's serious and needs immediate attention. You'd have severe pain and seek attention.
