ESOPHAGUS SPASMS

I have been have spasms in my esophagus for awhile now.  I did go to the doctors and he gave me medication for heartburn, but did not work.  I thought maybe it was a wheat allergy and stopped eating wheat, because as a child I was allergic to wheat. That was good for awhile, but now it is starting again and seems to happen after I eat anything.  I try not to eat too much at a time, because sometimes I start to feel sick.  I did lose 20 pounds in the last year and I am not sure if that has anything to do with it. Maybe my body cannot tolerate certain things? I lost the weight with weight Watchers, so I did not change my eating habits to much, just less food. Does anyone have any ideas?

Please tell us more about your symptoms. Do you feel the spasm and after that you start to belch?
I'm experiencing that right now. This is one of the many symptoms of stress that I had.
I hope it will go away with time.
