Fissure Issue

I have been dealing with a chronic fissure for quite some time.  I don't have sex very often because I don't want to be fooled with but I did give in and have vaginal sex the other night and the next morning I had blood and it really hurts again.  The fissure is located anterior.  Could the sex have irritated the fissure?

I don't know what the difference between skin tags and a fissure is but I had a 4th degree fissure repair about 10 years ago . It took me a very long time to heal. I had a lot of swelling and it took about 2 months for me to be able to sit. I had to use a cushion for a very long time. I still feel sensitive and sometimes I bleed due to I developed Hemmoriods after the surgery. I also got and infection and had to go back in for surgery. You may have an infection, my swelling was due to infection and you'll need to be put on an antibiotic to clear it up if that is the case. I feel for you some people are more sensitive to surgerys than others and take longer to heal which was my case. You will get better, it may not feel like it at this time but you will. Make sure you keep that appointment with the surgeon that did your surgery and seek a second opinon if you have to. Best Wishes and a Swift Recovery  Ginger1953

I I did had my Surgery for my skin tags about 3 weeks ago, and it is extremelly inflamed and swellen... I have being bleeding for about 3 weeks, where I even bleed at night and wake up with a lot blood on my underwear.
My butt looks like a circus with uninvited clows, it looks like I have more skin tags then before, and a little space in between some new bumps that were not there.
My surgeon is suppost one of the 10 best in the world not just in US.
I did go to my primary doctor and he told me I had to see the surgeon right a way, but the surgeon could not see me, and I am waitting to see him..
Does anyone knows if it is normal to have all this sweeling for 3 weeks and all this new bumps and bleeding????
Also the huge pain is gone but the discomfort to sit is horrible and I also have some discharge, what I heard it is normal... Does anyone know if it will ever go back to normal or will I need another surgery to fix it???
I just want to have a human butt again, and go back to my normal lif and activities..

I had an anal fissure repaired under local not general anesthetic. 5 mins after the op, I was reading a mag, drinking coffee and chewing on a bagel in the recovery room. I felt fabulous.
Being physically fit (but in my late 30s), I was back running 3-miles a day within 10 days. The first couple of days after the op, I acted a little gingerly and took it easy, and the first stool was a little bit tentative, but apart from that, all went well.
The surgeon wanted me back for cosmetic work to "trim" up his raggy edges, but I did not want to be out of commission again, so I opted to have the incision to heal naturally. (Who's going to be conducting close inspections anyway?)
The repair never stopped me from having a perfectly wonderful, normal married life.
I recommend getting it fixed and getting on with living your life to the fullest. Best of luck to you.

Trauma from sexual intercourse may indeed have irritated a pre-existing fissure.

I would have this evaluated by a surgeon.  Anal fissures can be treated with topical nitroglycerin cream as well as oral calcium channel blockers.

If the bleeding is not caused by the fissure, an anoscopy or flexible sigmoidoscopy can be considered to further evaluate the symptoms.

These options should be discussed with your personal physician.
