Question for NL

Dear NL,

Thanks a lot for your suggestion. Does it sound like I have anything serious? I don't have any symptoms other than loose stool and ocasional diharrea, once or twice a day. No blood or anything. 4 blood tests, up-gi xray, stool exam, sonogram of abdominal area, and urine test are all normal. No one in my fmaily has had colon problems. I'm 27 years old. What does this sound like to you? I've had these lose stools for a little over a month. My doctor has so far diagnosed me with gastritus.

THanks,
Ed

I couldn't begin to say whether you have anything serious or not.

Gastritis is an upset of the gastric system.  If you have seen a doctor, had the screens, etc. then ask the doctor "What's next? What treatment plan? What is the cause?"

Certainly it could be diet or other things...

Keep on being PROACTIVE with a good doctor...you can read the sites that cover gastric disorders.  I am not a doc...just a mom with some experience in the Colitis area.

Dear NL,

Thanks for your comments and tips, really. I'm big worrier about these things and perhaps this is contributing to my condition. I'll feel much better after next week's barrium-enema exam.

Thanks,
Ed
