gallbladder sugery

I had my gallbladder removed in March 2001 and before that I had no pain. I was only swollen on the right side. I wound up having gallstones and sludge in my gallbladder there fore it was removed.

Now it is 10 months later and I am still swollen on the right side? Has this happened to anyone? Why would I be swollen?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

Well, I went back to the doctor and the swelling was adhesions let alone had another incisional hernia.  So I had the hernia repair surgery on the 11th of January and the surgeons I guess removed some of the adhesions.

I am still in pain after 3 weeks and more so where the scar tissue was. Has anyone been through this where they removed old scar tissue? Does anyone know about adhesions? Is there anything dangerous about this. I heard a story from my wacky aunt-in-law that scar tissue can start to form around other organs and veins is this true? All she did is scare the SH*T out of me.

Any suggestions would be extremely helpful

If you haven't followed up with your doctor do it.  If you have see another doctor for a second opinion.
