Need Help!

For the last 2 1/2 years I have been plagued with reocurring flu like systems, problems going to the bathroom, and abdominal pain and burning. About 1 1/2 years ago I was referred to a gastroenterologist. He did full bloodwork, endoscopy, colonscopy, and ultrasound. The results were all clear for anything. The only he mentioned was spastic bowel or a slight narrowing of the passage. Its been a 1 1/2 later and symptoms I am having are more frequent. About 8 months ago my doctor put me on losec and domparidom. I have had no change taking any of these medications. I am frustrated to the max its making it hard to work and have a social life. My doctor seems reluctant to run more tests even though I am worse. Could gall bladder problems cause the more frequent problems? I checked symptoms on IBS,Spastic Bowel, and IBD. I have no idea. If anyone has any suggestions of what how I should proceed with my doctor please let me know.

Needing Help, David

i just had colon surgery and i went through many doctors before any of my problems were solved .my point is if a doctor tells you they do not wish to do any more test even though your symptoms are worse i would seek the opion of a another doctor and i would ask  he or she to refer you to another specialest .i was misdiagnosed by several doctors before they diagnosed me with many serious health problems. i am not sure if the gallbladder is the problem but i can tell you hep c. can cause many flu luke symptoms the next time they do a blood test ask them to run a hep c test many thousands of people have hep c. and go on with it for many years before being diagnosed.i wish you well and keep in mind the patient is a doctor best test, they have forgotten to listen to us and in doing so have prlonged the suffering by ignoring the person that knows where, when and how they are in pain .

My daughter has all of your symptoms. She started having them in high school. They thought she had lupus. She has now, after many doctors, been diagnosed with IBS and Fibromyalgia. The medication the dr gave her makes her too sleepy, so she takes a herbal remedy for fibromyalgia and only has IBS now when she is under stress and the flu like feeling is all but gone. Just flares up if she gets over tired. Also, she takes Allegra now and that has helped a lot. Dont give up...you have to be persistent with Drs...
