My 13.5 border collie/lab was diagnosed with lymphoma 2 weeks ago. She is on a holistic treatment (silica) and even though her energy is not horrible - she is not eating much at all. I basically have to hand feed her or spoon feed her. However, she is peeing fine and still passing good stool on a daily basis. She still have energy to go for short walks and have her moments of "sparkle". I don't know what to do - I don't want her to suffer but at the same time I don't know why she is not eating.
Her lymphs have not increased alot in size but they are definitely not going away.
We chose not to go with chemotherapy or predisone because of her age. She has bilateral hip dysplasia as well.
She has always been a part of our family - our 3 kids are devastated.
I just don't know when I should help her to move on. I don't want her to go but I am so scared of her suffering.
I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has had a dog with lymphoma.
