Does my dog have cancer?

I'm no medical expert, i was just came accross this site and was wondering if anyone could help.

My dog, a collie, is about 10  years old, (we got her from batasy dogs home in 2000, she came from abusive owners.)

She's always been very lively, the kind of dog that would want to fight other dogs, even though they are 10x her size and we have two other labrodors, which are bigger than her, but she still has all the authority in the house, haha.

Anyway, recently i've noticed about 5 big lumps around her neck, and she seems to be very tired and weak.

Normally she would play games with the cat and case him around the house, and wouldn't let the cat even come near the living room, but recently she doesn't seem to have the energy.

Does my dog have cancer? or maybe is she just old?

Thanks sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much, if you can help or give any advice.

These lumps really need to be checked out. They could be many things apart from cancer. But the fact that you say your dog is not behaving like she normally does, sounds like she's not feeling well. She may have a slight fever, which would drag her energy down. If the change from her normal self has happened quite suddenly then it's most likely not about her 'getting old' but more that she's unwell.

The lumps could be infected (abscesses)....they could be swollen glands, caused by some other thing that she has wrong with her. Even badly decayed teeth or even gum disease could cause swollen glands......they could be lipomas (tumors consisting of fatty tissue which are benign)
Or they could be cancer. Whatever, she needs to get the right treatment now, or at least for you to know what the lumps are -even if they are harmless.
So do please take her to the vet tomorrow morning.

I hope she's OK. I hope all goes well, and she gets some treatment to make her feel a lot better soon.
