Dog dug up carcass, now SICK

We had a very old dog who passed away a few weeks ago.  Hubby buried him in the yard where other pets of the past have been laid to rest.  The boxer we adopted last year is suddenly vomiting and has diarrhea. - I checked the grave and, sure enough, he's dug a hole down to where there's water showing.  He's obviously poisoned himself from drinking that carcass water, but I don't know what to do for him and of course it's the weekend...
Is there anything I can do, short of keeping him outside and making sure he has water?
Please help!
Thank you..

You gotta be kidding me! Put it on a credit card if you don't have the money. And worry about the money later - what would you do if it was your kid??

Don't let him suffer like this!

If he's repeatedly vomiting or having repeated episodes of diarrhea, he really should see a vet as soon as you can get him to one.  Its possible that this has nothing to do with the carcass.  Perhaps he's eaten a piece of the drywall and has an obstruction.  Perhaps its something else entirely.

If he seems lethargic or unduly ill, or is repeatedly vomiting and stooling liquid, he really does need to go in to be seen.

Drywall will not make a dog sick.  TAKE HIM TO A VET !!!

The boxer didn't dig all the way down to where the dead dog is - just dug a little ways to where I could see some water in the hole.  So now I'm wondering if it could be the drywall that's making him sick and maybe it doesn't have anything to do with the dead dog at all.
Would drywall make him sick like this?  And is THAT anything I should panic over???

The dog certainly wasn't buried as deep as deep as we would have liked, but our ground is limerock so we can only get so deep...  My husband put a slab of drywall (left over from a remodeling project) over it with cement blocks on that, but the boxer dug through the drywall.
My question is.. Do I really need to try to get my boxer to an emergency vet?  I don't know if this is something that will poison him or just make him sick for a little while.
I'd kept him outside (with water) because of the diarrhea but brought him in so I can keep a closer eye on him.  My sister told me to give him a little baby rice cereal so I just did that and so far he's kept it down.
How do I know when to panic and take him to an emergency vet?  ($$$$)

Is there an emergency vet anywhere in your area?  If not, try to find an internet listing for the closest one to you, and ask their advice over the phone.  He's probably going to need antibiotics, and the sooner the better.  I sure hope he doesn't die only because no vets are available over the weekend.  :-(
