My reply to her is below, if it needs to be put  up again.
Dear Dorothy,

Have you gone through the other posts on the forum? There is a lot of very good advice in the thread.
The feeding is the toughest bit of this disease- she will lose appetite as the disease progresses...(what's her name?). Even if she is not eating much, please make sure she is well hydrated and that she does not have acidity. The acidity can be one of the biggest cause for lack of appetite- please try all the medications- famotidine (oral or injection), sucralfate etc... so that she does not suffer baceuse of the acidity. her appetite may improve somewhat if the acidity goes down. In addition, there are all these other supplements  and symptomatic relief providers that you should start, if you havent already, including carnitine, CoQ10, enalapril/benazepril etc...

Malnutrition is a worry, but I would advice you to tacle everything else we can so that her appetite improves, rather than feeding her anything that increases the burden on the kidneys. Feed her as much of starchy stuff- rice, sweet potatoes etc...as possible... (my cookie allowed me to give her some rice gruel with jaggery and mashed sweet potato.)
Please do let me know all the medication and supplements that she is on and her general care, so that I can tell you if anything further can be done to help.
However, Dorothy, if she is throwing up continuously, and her numbers are rising, please steel yourself for having to deal withh the worst periods. As far as i have seen, this is a relentless disease and finally we have to let go.Even if you do not decide to put her to sleep yourself, you must prepare to see her go. Cookie finally had a heart attack, her haemoglobin was really low and her heart just couldnt hold out- in a way it was the the best way to go, but no way is easy...
Please reply and write to me with any other questions you may have.
