Epilepsy of my dog Labrador Golder Retriever

I have a 6 year old Labrador golden retriever and 2 days ago he had a sadden epilepsy 2 times in 24 hours. After his first epilepsy, in an hour time, I took him to the vet. He was treated with medication. We came home and it happened again for the 2nd time. I took him to the vet again and he was treated with stronger medication for 24 hrs. He gave us medicine that he has to take for a life time as this was very serious. Since we came home this afternoon  he is stressed, crying and scared of all kind of noises. Also he is following me around the house on every move and step I make.
What I really need your help is: will these effects ( stressed, crying and scared) go away eventually  ?
Also every day until Easter time, every night he listens to these  fireworks that he is scared and I worry that this will cause him (from fear) epilepsy again!
