No, she has not been spayed as of yet, but hopefully in the near future. We have left her out instead of crating her, but she becomes destructive. She has ate a hole in the couch and destroyed any and everything she can get. Both of the huskies become very destructive when left unattended, even if it's for 5 minutes. One would not believe the things they have destroyed! Anything I can do for the crate anxiety??
Sounds like crate anxiety. Is it possible to not crate her when you are gone? Perhaps section off a room or spot where the dogs can be.
Is she fixed, and if so, at what age did you have her fixed?
We had our Dobi's fixed (they're sisters, and we had them fixed prior to their 6-month b'days), and one had crate-urination issues, and the other didn't.
We found out, from our vet (and also a little internet research), that if you spay a female too early on, the muscles in their urethra’s don't have a chance to fully develop (tone & strength) as you're depriving their body of estrogen too early on, and they'll have incontinence problems therein.
We have her on PROIN and it keeps her from leaking and making 'mistakes'. There are other medications out there (estrogen-based) but they have some side-effects that we weren't willing to put her through. PROIN doesn't seem to have any, that we can tell anyway.
Not sure if that's necessarily your issue, but I thought I'd throw it out there.
