HELP

i have a 2 year old pug name mystic. just about a week and a half ago she had her first seizure and since then its progressed to having multiple seizures in one day a few lasting up to 3mins. she has has minor to major seizures and as a result my family took her to the vet to get help. but when they did X rays and blood tests it shows that she is a perfectly healthy pug. some symptoms that i have seen in her are foaming at the mouth, stiffness, not wanting to get up and move around, she just stays in one spot unless my family picks her up and help her move around a little bit, she has yelped sometimes whenever one of us picks her up in a certain way and she has yelped on her own when she woke up and just tried to stretch a little bit. she does a lot of staring into space and seems to have just not seem to know her surroundings. she also know gets startled very easily. she use to be energetic pug who love to jump and play around and know she is laying in one spot not wanting to do much of nothing. me and my family miss her and are hurting because shes in pain we can see it in her eyes we just dont know where she is hurting.

There is a disease that strikes pugs, usually between the ages of 2 and 3, called Pug Dog Encephalitis, or PDE.  Very little is known about this disease other than the dog having seizures is the primary symptom.  It is an inflammation of the brain.

If you Google "Pug Dog Encephalitis" you will find many, many links to read that will provide you with not only a lot of information, but will give you a lot of good information to present to your veterinarian so the two of you can work on this together.

Of course, there is always the chance that the seizures could be coming from another source, but the first thing I thought of was PDE when you mentioned a 2 year old pug having seizures.

Please keep us posted and let us know what your vet says, and how your dog is doing.

You mention Xrays...but has she had a brain scan? If this were something like epilepsy, I am not sure things like this would show up on either Xrays or bloodwork.?
