HELP..MY PITT IS SICK
My two Pittbulls had an altercation, and the end result is that the one has several picture wounds around and on his ear, and the entire side of his neck and face are very swollen. I took him to the doggy emergency room and they wanted a ridiculous amount of money to even look at him. I brought him home and have been giving him human amoxicillin, and cleansed the wounds. Is this okay or dj I need to do more? It appear that the swelling is going down. ease help me....
I agree with Karla as well, puncture wounds can be dangerous. you definitely should see a vet....good luck
Agree with Karla. Mod what you can to clean the wounds and do see your regular Vet tomorrow. I am sure an antibiotic, and the right one, will probably be prescribed.

Hi Tiffany...Puncture Wounds are dangerous because of infection.....Would it be possible to see his regular Vet tomorrow for proper medications? The charge would be alot less than the ER.....I hope you are able to...The correct dose of Antibiotics is Vital for healing....Good luck & let us know how he's doing....... Karla
