I agree completely with ginger's suggestions.  You can also give the dog Pedalyte found in the baby aisles at the grocery, drug, or dept store.  Only use the unflavored not the fruit flavored.  The Pedalyte will help replace some of the electrolytes the dog is loosing by vomiting.   Drinking is very important, the food right now is not an immediate necessity so offer but don't force him to eat.  But make sure he drinks.
I personally would not recommend the oatmeal you listed in your comment right now because it is bulk grain food item and may cause the dog to get diarrhea as well.  I hope this helps. and  Hope he feels better soon :)

Since it is the weekend and most vets are closed, call the emergency vet. Most will tell you what to look for and if you need to bring yout pet in. I have often been told that if the dog is drinking, that is fine if he is not eating. But I can't help but wonder if the dogs got hold or rat poisen. Look at his stools and exam them ( as yucky as that is) but that can tell you a lot of what is going on with them.
I had a dog that was doing that and the vet never could figure it out, they gave him some medication to stop the vomiting and suggested I make chicken and rice- something that is easy on their digestion. My vet also wants me to use chicken breast due to less fat.
I also cook up oatmeal for my dog, no milk, just water- it is easy to digest as well. Also, might want to some banana ( small amount).

I hope your baby will soon feel better.

he/she is dehidrated. that's why he/she is drinking a lot. it could be a serious problem. My aunts dog passed away about 5 days after he got sick and he started with the same symptoms as ur dog. i promise you it will get worse. if i were you i would somehow scrape up the money to take he/she to the vet. use a credit card if you have too but it sounds like he/she defintaly needs some medical attention.

Does your dog and the next door dog play together or share the same yard sometimes? if so it could be something infectious, possibly an infectious enteritis or similar.
What did the vet say about your neighbour's dog? What was wrong with it, and what treatment did it get?
Has your dog had any diarrhea?
Has he/she had all the booster innoculations? (thinking about Parvo)
Has he/she vomited a lot? or just once or twice?

So long as your dog is drinking water, and keeping the water down, and not drinking an unnatural amount, you could try giving him Pepto-Bismol, then fasting with just water for one day (24 hours) Then the next day, just plain boiled rice. And the day after that, introduce some plain boiled chicken to the rice, and see if that settles his stomach.
Of course if there is any change for the worse or if he can't keep even water down...then that's starting to get serious, and I advise you to find a way -any way you can, to get him to a vet.

[Pepto Bismol is a safe medication for dogs who are suffering from vomiting and diarrhea.

The dosage for dogs is 1 teaspoon for every 20 pounds of body weight, given every 4 to 6 hours]
