Intervals where body going up and down like Hiccups

I would not say it is hiccups casue it is not coming from his mouth, but his body looks like a hiccup (up and down) and it happens sometimes one to three times a day and he does it for about one or two minues. My puppy is a Shuh Tuz and he is 6 months old. He has all of his shots and is a playful active little guy. His name is Banlu-Chi and I bought him from a breader when he was 8 weeks old. I live on a fixed income and I am very nervous about bringing him to the vet casue it will cost  alot of money to do tests just to find out it is no big deal ( which I pray) I love this little guy and he took the place of a 15 year old Shu Tuz I had to put down. Can anyone let me know what this might be.

It sounds like he is acting fine. There might be something going on but it is not unusual fir puppies to get hiccups.  Does he gobble his food or treats quickly?  If so, slow down his eating.  Being too active can cause hiccups.  Try rubbing his tummy, etc.

Banlu-Chi does not eat his food fast at all. What I call hiccups is not really hiccups, but I was try to explain his little body goes up and down like a hiccup. It's almost like tiny little jumps. I'm on a fixed income, and I am scared to take him to the vet becasue they will just run test not really knowing just to make money. He also licks is paws for no reason, I have tried everything like bitter apple but  he goes right to his paws and licks. Any thoughts on why he would be doing his licking? Thanks
