dog dies suddenly

ok so today my aunt's little pup died suddenly. She is convinced my 5 year old did something. but we don't know. He is a young dog and in good health, but today he wasn't acting right. I noticed him laying in the flower bed, so i put him up on the front porch and then he made this cough/gag sound and acted like he gagged and was going to throw up but didn't but was acting like he couldnt breathe and didnt seem to wanna be messed with. about 30 mins later he died. Please help

could be that he aspirated something, could be that he ate something, certain plants are poisionus to dogs as well... u can do an autopsy but thats a lot of $

So sorry for your loss but don't know what we could help you with.  Unless you suspect a cause or have a necropsy done, there is no way to determine the cause.
