Seeking advise on the death of my beloved dog

Hello! I just lost my best friend/companion of 11 years suddenly this past Tuesday. She was a german/chow mix and seriously the best dog I could ever ask for! Kennedy was full of life and we just had a fun outing a few days before her death. She never showed any signs of discomfort of illness, and Tuesday morning after we left for work she passed away under my bed (where she would sleep). The only thing I noticed is she was slow to her feet Tuesday morning going outside, which usually she is the one rushing me to the door to let her out. I asked her if she was feeling bad and she laid down and let me rub her belly, I felt her nose and she didn't have a fever. I was in total shock to find her gone under my bed when I got home. I'm not coping very well with this, I seriously lost my best friend and had no warning. I just don't understand how a dog still so full of life could pass so quickly with no signs of sickness. Does anyone have any idea? I'm just so heartbroken and I'm looking for answers as to why this happened to her and us. Thanks for any advise given. I appreciate it.

Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry for your loss, I understand your wanting answers to know what happened but sometimes just as with people it just can happen at a young age. I would guess most likely a heart attack, but we just don't know. What a beautiful name for a dog Kennedy. What you can do is just think of it like she was a special gift sent to brighten your life for 11 years. That's a great amount of memories and I know she had a wonderful life with you.Time can only heal a broken heart but in the meantime make a memorial for her, inside or out, whatever you want and think of pleasant memories with her. Know that Kennedy will always be alive in your heart and lives on. Talk about her, celebrate her, and again please accept my condolences. Been there, God bless her heart,

They can't say what exactly was wrong with him. I just have to keep thinking about all the good memories that I had with him and know that he knew I loved him with all my heart. Oh, I am so sorry to read this and send my sympathies.  We have had these circumstances before, search the Forum.
I have lost a couple of dogs myself over the years that seemed perfectly fine and one was rather young.
Unless you get a necropsy done soon after death, you will probably never know for sure and I know that is hard.  11 us a pretty decent age, really, for those mix breeds.  There could have been underlying health or organ issues you just were not aware of.  It could have been a heart attack or stroke possibly.
I had a relatively young Sheltie years ago that was fine when I left for work.  Ate her breakfast, jumping around, no indication anything was amiss.  Came home to find her down and in shock.  Rushed her to the Vet but she passed.
I did have a necropsy done and she had a tumor that ruptured.  The Vet and I were both surprised.  I am always very aware of my animals behavior.
So very sorry for your loss.  Hugs
