My dog has CRF and cries

Hello,
My dog meeko is 13 years old. He was very healthy until recently. My husband I had noticed that he was not using his left hind leg and no longer could go up stairs. He had also been drinking a lot of water and having many accidents. I took him to the vet about his leg and mentioned his thirst and urination. I thought he may have a uti. Incidently the labs showed that he had a creatinine of 5 and high bun. The reason he was drinking and urinating so much is because he has chronic renal failure. So the vet instructed me to give him sub iv fluids. He has been tolerating it very well. No pain. He will not eat dry dog food. Loves treats. I have been giving him canned food which he loves. Initially, when I gave him a whole can he would vomit it all up later or the next day. I have been giving him small meals 2 times a day and he has been keeping that down ok. My only concern, is his persistent crying. He will be in front of me crying, he will be in bed crying. He will wake up in the middle of the night crying. I don't know what he wants or what he is feeling. I will take him out. I will give him food. I will give him treat. I will hold him. Pet him. Has anyone had a dog with crf that cried constantly?
Any suggestion or advice?

I'm dealing with a dog with renal problems now myself.
I have no idea why your dog would be crying. What type of cry is it?  Is he crying for attention?  Does he seem to be in pain?  Hard to tell.  Have you mentioned this to your Vet?
Maybe he needs some meds for his stomach.
Did you Vet tell you to feed an ID food?  You have to really watch the protein with renal problems.
Ah, it's hard to manage the old ones.
Hope you can find a resolution.
