The RapidBath, Pet Bathing System

Has anyone ever tried using this system on their dog?  And if so what is your opinion of it?  Also what size of dog do you have?  The link to it is:  http://www.rapidbathing.com/RapidBath.aspx

I was just curious because someone asked me about using this on my guys, in hopes that it might save me some pains from being bent over for hours of bathing.  They just read about it, and brought it up to me.

Anything that reduces pain sounds good to me.  I just get nervous about changing anything with my babies though and you have to use their shampoo with this system.

It sounds like it would be good for our Akita and Siberian husky.  The shih tzu needs special shampoo because of dry skin.  The lhasa apso can just bathe himself.

Hope someone does try it and post here but so many of those TV things are just scams - aren't they?

Thank you both for your comments.
I was hoping that someone else had already bought and tried this product.  Hopefully someone else will see it on here.

I know that a good pitch man/woman can sell anything and make it sound good on an advertisement.

I had someone bring it up to me because I have a Rottie mix and a Great Dane and that on days that my back/stomach is sore that it might ease alot of the burden.  My main concern was *does it really work* the way they show it.

I'm lucky because mine stand pretty still.  I wash mine in a claw foot bathtub in the house.  It might be hard with my Dane though because he can't turn around in the tub.  I guess not any harder though than what I'm already doing though.  LOL

I called the number on the add and found out there is a 30 day return if you cannot use it with your fittings or your dogs cannot use the shampoo.  There is a 1 year warranty on the product itself if it would break.

My main concern too, is the shampoo.  I'm verry picky and have always just used shampoo from my vets too.  Hmmm.  Hopefully someone will see it soon on here and chime in that has used it already.

HUGS and WAGS;
Amy.

I had a look at this and watched the videos on the website.
It does look good and easy to use. And at 49.99 dollars (probably around 25 English pounds) it doesn't seem too expensive.
It seems that for dogs with an 'undercoat' it would get under the guard hairs to that bottom layer much easier than hand bathing would. Because of its 'power shower' effect.

But as with all advertising, the advertiser's mission is to make that product/gizmo/gadget look SO attractive, infallible, and something you wonder how you could ever have lived without before! (I've had the experience of buying something before that promised miracles, and the results were disappointing. But also I've bought things that I was very pleased with.
Hard to tell till you've tried it I suppose...I wonder if there's a guarantee or warranty with it? So that if you're not entirely satisfied you could get your money back?

My dog HATES baths and showers! One advantage I can see immediately is that there is no time while being showered that the dog would be standing there cold. That happens to us, while I'm emptying out the sudsy water and running in rinsing water etc, and I have to think about that because we live in England where the weather isn't always warm!!

I just looked at the link you provided for the RapidBath.  It looks good on the commercial but I wonder about a few things:  it is a commercial so the dog having the RapidBath could have been previously trained to get used to it; same with the person giving the dog a bath; the dogs were both goldens and I wasn't sure how big the dog had to be to use it.  We can bathe our shih tzu in the sink but we can't with the Akita and Siberian husky.  If it works the RB looks good - and easy.  But commercials always make it look like that.  Since I didn't watch or read everything the commercial said, maybe there is something that says you can get your money back if you aren't satisfied.  It looks good - if there weren't any "catches", I'd buy it.  Try bathing an Akita; they have an extra layer of hair.

What kind of dogs do you have?  We have one who has to use "special shampoo" too.
