Bumping again. Wish there was some way there could be a separate section to keep pertinent information on top.

Bump again.

It is very helpful not just for us, but for other people who are searching through search engines. They will find more help for their dog if threads can be updated with results one way or another.

Having no updates doesn't help us or snyone else, Karla, wish people realized that.  However,
Ginger made a good point about people doing searches for some issues and finding discussions that may help them in some way.
I almost didn't check but did check an old thread and someone actually thanked me for the info I posted.

Don't you dare leave!!

specialmom makes some important points.
It is important to get feedback about a dog's progress -not just because we would dearly like to know -but also because when people search for the same problem via a search engine, they also may receive a lot of help.

So I think it would be great if people didn't just disappear after they have received some support but came back to let us know how their dog is doing.

Hear hear Margot!

I am going to try this again!!

Those of us that take the time to contribute and advise as best we can would appreciate follow up from those that post!!

These forums can be a learning experience for us all.  It is going to get to the point that it seems pointless to try and help.

Please come back and update!!

There were a couple that I really wish they would have followed up with, I still wonder what happened.

I too, always come back & look for updates.....It irritates me when there's nothing...It's a courtesy issue, in my mind!!!

I agree 100% that it would be nice to hear from the posters again.  I purposely look for updates in order to learn something I may need to know in the future.

I'm a community leader on a few forums here at Med Help.  It sadly is just the nature of the beast of the internet.  We have to know in our hearts that we doing the right thing to leave advice whether someone takes the time to come back or not.  ALSO, know that advice left may help someone doing a search with the same problem.  So, the doggies are counting on you even when you never hear back from a poster.

I have given countless hours of my heart and soul to posters never to hear from them again.  it is frustrating but knowing that I 'maybe' helped is satisfaction in some small way.  So, I let go of feeling like I need to hear back from them.

But I do understand where you are coming from.  I just hope that you keep 'bothering' regardless.  Thanks for the help you provide!

And bumping again.
If posters don't bother to update, those of us that try to help just may not bother.  We are not Vets but have many years of collective knowledge and experience.  We all learn from each other.
Thanks
